Whilst similar to the Employer’s Agent role under the JCT D&B Contract, the Employer’s Representative is used under the JCT Major Project Construction Contract. This form is typically used by experienced clients on large scale construction projects.
Protecting the client’s interests by identifying and advising on the risks associated with acquiring an interest in a development that is not under the client’s direct control.

Principal Designers have an important role in influencing how risks to health and safety are managed throughout a project. Design decisions made during the pre-construction phase have a significant influence in ensuring the project is delivered in a way that secures the health and safety of everyone affected by the work.
